What is it like to work with me?- Book Design
Book Design projects begin with a consultation. This gives us a chance to speak to the client first and discuss what the client envisions for the book. We brainstorm and the client gets a bit of homework. Clients will have to answer questions like, Have you started the manuscript? What are your plans or goals for the book? Are you planning to sell on Amazon as well? What is your time frame?
Once all general information is gathered, you will be provided a custom quote if the requests fall outside of our packages. The quote will need to be approved before getting a contract and invoice sent electronically. Once the contract is signed and the deposit is made, you will be placed in queue and receive a welcome packet with a project start date. This will give you time to gather any materials needed.
Clients will provide the text and photographic images needed for the book. The manuscript file sent should be proofread already. If the manuscript has not been edited we can recommend an additional copy writing service that would be charged at an additional fee. Nobody want’s to find mistakes in a book they just purchased, and your credibility is on the line! You don’t want that.
AK Design provides the setup to sell your book effortlessly via Amazon as well. It is a part of the package.
